Program 03
Vocational Skills
Practical trade and enterprise skills help youth and women build livelihoods and pursue employment.

Skills for livelihoods
Training that creates pathways to work
The VAD Foundation’s vocational program supports girls, women, and young people who have left school or completed primary and secondary education to develop practical livelihood and trade skills. We aim to empower entrepreneurship, promote small enterprise, strengthen business-management skills, and create employment opportunities in the communities we serve.
Training is offered through schools and community programs. The Foundation is working to expand access to hands-on learning so more people can gain knowledge for specific trades and occupations.
Trades include carpentry, mechanics, metalwork, welding, and masonry. Skills training can help learners pursue work, start small enterprises, and contribute to local economic development.
